Why Freebie Offer suit Reliance Jio more ?

At 31st of March Reliance Jio extended the date of "Prime" Membership for another 15 days it means till 15th of April any users can buy the Prime Membership along with "Summer Surprise Offer" which can be avail by recharging Rs. 303 or more, although at 6th of April Reliance Jio has withdrawn the summer surprise offer after TRAI ask them to do so but Jio guarantees the 3 Months Data for a complimentary basis to those users who already recharged with Prime Membership + the recharge amount of Rs. 303 or more. Jio may be forced to stop taking recharges of prime membership a week before the "promised" extended date but one thing for sure any freebie offer suits Reliance Jio more then their competitors.

In recent past subscription charges of different services has gone high after Telecos bought spectrum in very high prices compare to before in "First come first basis". It was a time when Telecos thought to recover the money since many small players came, shined and doomed due to irregularities during "Telecom Revolution" and hurt the big players automatically. Those days MNPs was in full swing and at one hand when small players was busying luring customers with some initial offers, big players was making people to realize that their Network and Infrastructure is the most trusted one to choose with.

Indeed the quality of Telecom Industry was degraded and mostly companies start sharing spectrum with each other to expand their business in many very little resources. The scene was not lesser like any startup where even Financiers and Builders jumped with a collaboration with Indian and Foreign groups. Reliance is newest in the Industry and got latest resources for their 4G services which can be easily tuned to 5G in near future as Mr. Ambani himself referred. For Jio the infrastructure is one time investment for next 10 years atleast. Jio is currently targeting only in 4G / VoLTE users who got it in their Smartphones and surely in near future as well. 

After Jio came into the picture Telecom companies start loosing money due to Jio's free model, before other Telecoms only making losses from their Tower business and now at this stage mostly Telecos are distancing their core business with the infrastructure one due to have no space left to survive. Reliance's strategy was quite clear with Jio, its not about only Telecoms but also about the services. Their investment in Network 18, a gradually looking strategic partnership with India's biggest broadcaster STAR INDIA was one of such steps which make Jio offering more sensible.

Other operators despite of being trend setters came up with their own desperate move of VAS Services and forced to follow the Jio's pricing with a unified recharge of Data, SMS, Call which made the Telecos to pay the price of it. The bigger challenge for other Telecos to keep the existing customer under their roof as its very hard to attract the new one. The reason Jio extending the free model by the name of "Complimentary Offer" due to their crucial planning on expanding the network and tat is the only area where they must be concerning on for long term. Data speed is the biggest problem in Digital Era movement and that will remain but any Telecos prime focus is the Network coverage and as Mr. Ambani in some of his speech mentioned his company's focus to expand the Network by 98% throughout the Nation.

No doubt after Jio, data consumption in the Country increased despite of cut in regular high speed data from Jio bringing down from "Unlimited" to "4Gb per day" to "1Gb per day". Internet connections gone stable after January 2017 compare to last year due to heavy usage but still in many places peoples are not getting the desired standards of 4G. Jio's freebie is the example of people's actual take on Jio paid. Jio surpasses 100 million subscribers within 6 Months after its official launch but tat mark is more because of Jio's free service. Even despite of entire March month, Jio extended the Prime Membership date for another 15 days by offering the complimentary free data for another 3 Months for free which forced those people to opt Jio who made their mind to ditch it.

Problem with Jio is tat they hardly able to achieve what they promised in terms of quality. Currently they're struggling in Mobile network and their Broadband and Jio Link are yet to reach in every doorstep, though currently they're in trial run with free subscription on. There is no doubt that Jio has gone extra mile with their subscription plans with no other operator has did so, other operators despite of being competitors with each other was united by the excuse of competitive conflicts. Indeed any brand establishes due to business only but sometime it requires to connect with the people. Mostly Reliance's concentration will be to continue the unified subscription at very nominal price and keeps on improving the quality as well as ready to face any consequences in near future from any side.

Well Sept. 5th ever since Reliance launched their dream projects Reliance Jio plenty of talk started in the industry and socially regarding its impact in Telecom sector and in our life. The talk was from years now in a country where youths are in high numbers motivated even senior citizen to use internet and Digital India concept is helped technology to move one step forward which was being never been. Huge corruption in Telecom sector in last few years hurts the motive as well and pushed things backward over the years. At the end of the day when aim decided that to give something and pass benefits to the Countryman, people involved in a chair took a benefit of it and when it decides to have a justice with Country’s resources Companies though gave a investment with both hands but then the benefits is moreover become the business as you needs to pay as per the need and requirement. Examples are set that we needs to learn to pay for the service.

Reliance Jio came in a market by calling ourself as a 4G network no 2G, no 3G it means from Day 1 company’s stakes are high and plenty of challenges as well. Stakes to proof and maintain itself as 4G Network, challenges are to spread and push in a 4G Segments with lucrative offers, continue with a subscribe base after Free Offering. Jio whatever is now today is because of their Welcome Offer which is available for free after getting new connections. But does the current subscriber base will maintain the 4G when it get paid tats a question. Biggest reason why India never step high on technology is because our Telecom sector is not affordable and not technically sound to cover entire India. Companies may not have that much investments too nor the support from Ground Level to Infrastructure. We bought everything rather then building obviously we’re paying high for the technology but that amount never justifies the entire course. In a Country like India only Broadband can be affordable for the fact that despite its running from BSNL or Airtel Lines the investment of the company’s are in small segments which can be easily invested and maintained rather then aiming for the entire country.

Jio may have shaken the industry with its Free Voice Call and SMS with only one data recharge but as of now they didn’t cleared about My Jio subscriptions which consists of TV, Music, Movies, News and other Services. Ofcourse since investment has been made we have to pay for the service but that may not looks practically flexible for the subscriber in that case. Telecom companies did started their entertainment zone along with 4G network after following the suite of Jio Network but consumption wise it may not able to sustain. As subscribing these Entertainment Packs along with Data Packs to run those is not looks economical as Users will have two choices either use Data for basic internet or for Entertainment. Companies are not allowed to provide the Individual Datas for any service after TRAI dismissed the Net Neutrality nor can provide the Services for free. Although no one knows the future there might be the ruling which will help the companies to ran their purpose, policies and serve to the customers according to it.

Reliance played quite a big shot after launching Jio they launched their mobile segments as Lyf Mobile. Lyf looks to be quite promising with Jio as it used to buckled with Jio connection under Jio Preview Offer (JPO) tat time Mobile division taken a rapid growth but within a month Jio’s launching and Free Preview to get extended with other mobiles let Lyf customers and brand down. Not only people who had bought Lyf by considering for Jio connection start feeling the heat as any such investment on Lyf may not be worthy if others are getting the same taste with better handsets. Lyf Mobile is also nothing different then other available mid range devices, company may have giving people a confidence of 2 years extended warranty but it all depends of figures of investment over profit. Reliance Industry believing by the end of 2016 they will sell 10 Million Lyf brand mobiles tat is somehow achievable but exact figures can’t be touch as others too are there and launching phones with the compatibility of VoLTE which is necessary for voice call in Jio Networks also with great features. Lyf Mobiles may replaces small brands from the market but not big and famous ones for sure. Future of Lyf though will decides on the sales of October as Diwali is in Month end and every company is hoping for rocket height figures to blast some fireworks of happiness.

Jio having lots of roadblocks though getting clearances day by day from the regulator of Telecom Industry but actual test will start when it get paid. In India everyone looks for something extra like 4-5 years ago though in now its merely possible if some company start giving like this then soon to be go bankrupt. Jio has applied the formula of stretching the data connection in Welcome Offer where many subscribers can get a benefit of the offer though speed will be limited and not like a king speed of 4G. This is might a new way to decrease the input cost in high no. of subscriptions as less data will be allotted in high needs. Biggest aspect of any company to get success in the internet model is subscription price that whether its going to hit the consumer or not. Many companies after Jio announced its offering of 1GB 4G Data in around Rs. 50 start selling and even promoting in the same price as Jio but inside story is you first needs to shell some Rs. 1500 for the first time then only you will be eligible to get it otherwise it will not like a offer which is a Pro Consumer and Anti Industry.

Jio may not sound like they was in the AGM at 5th of Sept. even in AGM practically figures was little bit disappointed could be more once gone paid. Internet revolution will only come when we start thinking for the future. Prices of 2G Data is still the same though 3G Data price has been slashed but lesser price recharge consists less days so overall when you read headings title “Price Slashed” it looks great and attractive but actually terms and conditions are always applied on every scheme. 4G is meant to bring Internet revolution but not to stuck for forever. 4G was need of hour but policy makers and Govt. who’re running the country should always focused ahead, unless they don’t promotes the technology and clears the roadblocks of it nothing will be done and people of the Country will keeps on serving the old outdated technology with always in a higher price. Govt. operators are known for such mess they never found any way to challenge the Pvt. firms and never created any noise as well they only found to make a plead of saving from the competition. Internet revolution can come in the Country with pure intentions and focus towards future either of any get distracted Country will always deprived from what it deserves.

Just heard the news that Google announced about its child project Google Pixel which has been launched with a huge expectation under Made By Google project has mentioned that next 2 years Google will provide the guaranteed updates which will help to enhance the performance of the phone. Obviously its a Google’s product and Google launched with the huge hopes in hand then whats the big deal about it ? Well we all know that Google might be trying so hard to conquer the market but they never stood upto the expectations of peoples ever in certain expect. Many experts even declared Google Pixel as disappointed start but unless it won’t comes in our hand we should always gives a first chance to every promising thing. But really the day Google Pixel launched many just questioned its purpose and questioned about existing Google Products like Android One and Nexus. If Pixel taken then the next center stage of Google then what will happen to Nexus and Android One Project and if both them will remain then why we need overpriced Pixel ? In a Indian market if you launches a product which cost you something around Rs. 60 K and even if you buy it then rather then you being called as a great buyer you might be end up called as Goof. Basic necessity in India is always comes first then anything even peoples who always opposed the Chinese electronic products are now ending up by buying it and adopting it since its more cheap and coming with most advance feature in a great affordable price.

Its about believing the expectations in some extent whether a product is able to stand in that or not. If you take Google’s strategy then they always fails to delivers, many in social networking sites of Android One owners is asking the same question that when they will get a taste of Android Nougat but let the talk of new version OS aside Google not even released the Security Patches of October month in that case what we can consider from this ? Surely may be Google is no more focusing on their own old dream projects may be if they passed the updates later then whats the meaning of it if someone still hold Android One phone then surely its no more intact by now opened as with custom ROMs but what for those who still hoping for the best of the device ? Well its not about blame game type of thing any company can strategies ourself with anything and at any moment they can concentrate with it but keeps on walking down forward and forgetting the existing innovation is not a good idea. No doubt changes are always good and need of a hour as well but new space should always being created if you’re not present. Google Allo, Google Duos is one such attempt of Google on which Google got the early success but no one knows the future whether it will be exists or new one will be launched. Since despite of Hangout they have built something which can be easily redeveloped & redesigned as per the trendsetters.

Not only on Google’s Hardware and Software innovations but their way of handling social media is too weird. Despite of one of strongest reach in GMail, Google not ables to launch the competitive social networking platform. Google+ still hanging here and there despite of acquiring the most famous Orkut which never got that popularity which it used to be without Google closed for more eyes on Google+, even despite of Google+ connection with Gmail it couldn’t deliver. At one point Google integrated every of their service with Google+ which make sure that everyone will have Google profile at the end of the day which was later highly criticized and later that move has been taken out but still its not completely. Now Google allotting users to have Channel profile in Youtube, your profile will be as usual connected with Google Photos if you wants to create Google Profile you can but despite of so much pushing Google still not ables to provide the proper Google Username and still listening the criticism. Google after acquiring Picasa and Youtube pushed those more as their Google service rather then giving some space like Blogger tat atleast in Blogger you can be someone which you’re not in Google Profile.

No matter you may Google to know everything around the world but to know about Google you might have to struggle. As mentioned its not that easy to understand about Internet Gaints from Internet you might bleed a lot from it as like hitting hard to get something even if its like the personal satisfaction only. Can’t deny from the fact that not everyone is perfect and Google is not different but fixing certain things may help them to contain their chase of dreams. Thinking from the shoes of users prospective is very important whether any policy, terms, pricing will ever justifying the purpose or not. Obviously think tank have to recognize the hurdles from success from day 1 only and not creates a room when panic button has pushed, bringing innovation is always welcome and it is always better then nothing but efforts and time are precious should not be wasted by giving excuse of experimenting. Experiments are require whenever there is something we can do to develop a entire concept for the betterment rather having same wine in old bottle with different tags. For Google they might get the sounds like “Yeahhh” rather then “Oooohhh Yeaaah”.

When we left some project alone then it means that probably we’re no more in a mood to maintain it but what about for those who was and is associated with it ? Technology keeps on changing in and even Google in next 2 years will build something advance which everyone will credit for but what about those who’re now own or willing to own Pixel or any other Google project which may not coming in the category of smart buy ? In a market money keeps on surpassing the new values, needs are increasing hence projects are upgrading day by day and covering more wider space of experiments. At this moment we need something which help to cover the existing with the new innovatory rather then it become a step to retire the existing one despite of its great presence with expectations. We needs to work on making Gadgets Smarter and Smart Gadgets to be Smartest rather then innovate Gadget, Smart Gadget, Smartest Gadget. There is should not be any space of categories as we needs every categories more equal then different then only development in innovation will be considered, Google needs to restrategies their think tank rather then being rejected on the hard work & investments of time and money.
